Local story gets national coverage!

It is always exciting when you PR coverage of a client gets picked up by the media….but when that media is the BBC it’s even better!

It was very exciting to be part of a BBC interview of JK client’s Frodsham-based coffee and gift shop Me & Mr Jones.

Theirs is a feel-good story and is all about life after redundancy. You can read the full story here

I started working with Paul & Ade, owners of Me & Mr Jones, at the beginning of the year when they shared their plans to open a delicious coffee shop in Frodsham. With one challenge after another facing the pair, they still managed to open in June this year, but concentrating on gifts and take away coffee and cakes for the time being.

When they shared their idea of offering free tea, coffee & cake to ex-airline crew from airlines no longer with us, as long as they turned up in their uniforms, I jumped on the chance to get this fantastic offering spread far and wide among the local and national media.

We all need some positive news these days so when they told me the BBC had been in touch I was over the moon for them! We had a full day’s filming with a couple of their previous colleagues and it was so much fun to be part of…my role consisted of jumping out of the way to keep out of shot!

The interview was planned to be aired on Wednesday 25 September to mark the anniversary of the closure of Thomas Cook, but due to the latest lockdown news the story was bumped to the weekend.

It has been a fantastic opportunity for the pair to spread their good news and show that positivity can come out of adversity.

The story is also featured in the October edition of Cheshire Life.

If you have a great story to tell and you’d like some PR support then please give me a shout and we’ll get that progressed for you.
