Our third Netwalk Your Network was another great networking event.
Despite it being Easter holidays in some areas we still welcomed 12 businesses to this unique networking meeting including Paul Kyte Photography, ProTravel Agent, Cheshire Business Focus, NatWest, Andrew Collier Photography, E2E Integration, FDR Law, Patch Memories and our guest speaker Freyaluna.
We started at the café at Castle Park Arts Centre for a hot drink and open networking, where our guests settled in, saying hello to people they’ve met before and introducing themselves to people they haven’t. Despite the threat of rain, the weather was dry and we enjoyed our coffee in the fresh air.
Ali Wheeler from FeelGood had planned our route around the park to ensure the attendees got the most out of their time away from the office. We appreciated the fresh air, the sound of the natural wildlife while still being aware of the area we were in by experiencing the sound of aeroplanes flying overhead and looking at the wind turbines on the Frodsham marshes.
Each meeting we stop every 8 – 10 minutes so each attendee gets the chance to do a one-minute introduction to the group about their business, who they’re looking to work with and what they want from the group. This is always a great way to build connections and get the most out of the networking.
Paul Kyte from Paul Kyte Photography video-ed much of the walk to help us promote the event using visual marketing. He even managed to capture the group being dive bombed by a particularly territorial robin!
After walking about a mile through the park, we returned to the arts centre for a hot drink, sandwich, fruit and delicious chocolate brownie. The conversations flowed and you could see the new connections being made and previously made connections being further grounded. There was laughter, conversations and a great vibe amongst the guests.
After we’d finished eating, Sami Blackford from Freyaluna discussed how the products Freyaluna makes has helped her. She explained about how many commercial products are so bad for our skin and how her homeopathic based products can enhance well being as well as skin care. We enjoyed smelling and trying the sample products, with many of the guests filling in order forms to buy theses stunning products.
At the end of the meeting, Paul Kyte took individuals to one side to ask them to finish a sentence which started with “Netwalk your network…” I look forward to hearing what was said!
NetwalkYourNetwork is run by Judith Kenyon of JayKay Events and Ali Wheeler from FeelGood. It is a non-membership networking group that encourages businesses owners to get out of the office and into the fresh air while still managing to work on their business.
The meetings take place on the third Wednesday of every month. To join in the next meeting on Wednesday 17 May at Delamere Forest please email firstname.lastname@example.org
